I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving holiday yesterday! At my house we had a
traditional Thanksgiving dinner, which we don’t always do, and it was delicious!
My husband was in a food coma for most of the evening. I spent my time tweaking
a referral program for you and now I am ready to introduce it. Here goes!

Each month I will be introducing a “Product of the Month” on here on my blog. I will
highlight one of our amazing products so you have a chance to learn more about
that particular product and how it can help you to live longer and look younger. At the end of each month I will hold a drawing and someone will win the highlighted product for that month!

How to enter:

For every 3 qualified referrals you will be entered to win the product of the month. In order to qualify a referral you must give me their name, phone number, email and let them know I will be contacting them. You can get your referrals to me through email, the phone or private message me on one of the social media pages. I can be found on most of them.

For every guest you bring to a skinny wrap party, whether you come to one I host or
someone else, you will be entered to win the product of the month.

Since it is the end of November we are going to carry this month’s product through December. As an added bonus those who qualify for entry in November will have their entries doubled for December’s Product of the Month!

Our next party is Monday, November 28th at the Capital Homes Model home in
Providence Hills. The address is 13342 S 21st Street, Bixby,OK at 6:30. Be sure to RSVP how many are coming so I can be sure to hold your wraps for you!

Today is one of my favorite days out of the month. It is a Heart Link day! Some of you will already know what that means but for those of you who don’t, I’ll explain.

I am a Chapter Leader for The Heart Link Network. I lead the Bixby, Oklahoma chapter. When I first found Heart Link it certainly wasn’t my intention to get so involved but I am so blessed that I’ve been lead down this path.

I found out about The Heart Link Network online. Someone had mentioned going to a women’s networking event the previous night in their area and raved about it. She got my attention so I looked it up. The more I read the more I wanted to attend a meeting. So off to the location page I went only to find out the closest groups to me in Oklahoma were a couple of hours away.

Bummer.

I couldn’t drive two hours there, network for two hours, then drive two hours back. There is just no way I could fit that into my schedule every month. I REALLY loved this format of networking though. At the time there was nothing else in Tulsa like it. So I requested info on being a chapter leader, wouldn’t hurt to find out right? Maybe I could talk someone into doing it here. Laura, our fabulous president, contacted me back and gave me the low down. Well now I was in trouble because what she told me really intrigued me. I really felt like we needed something like this here because I knew how many amazing business women were in this area. I wanted there to be a group that could support them. My only problems was how was I going to find the time to start such a thing and even more important how was I going to convince my husband that it was such a wonderful idea? We never do anything without both of us being on board. I also have to admit I was a little scared. What if no one came? What if I froze speaking in-front of all those people? The doubts go on and on.

It took about a month of prayer and discussion with my husband before I was convinced this was something I was supposed to do. It will be two years in September since I started The Bixby chapter and I am so happy I took that leap of faith. I have made so many friendships from this group as well as some of the other chapters that have started in our area. Women I may not have met without the network. I have watched women make connections with each other then go on to help each other personally and professionally. I get to be a part of women empowering each other to step outside the box. I get to watch their businesses grow and celebrate with them. What a gift! I wish everyone could experience what I have experience because of this organization! And on top of all that it’s been GREAT for my business!

So, what exactly do we do at these events?

Well put simply, we connect. Heart Link is basically a fun Girl’s Night Out with some marketing along the way.

We have dinner, provided by the Amazing Taylor Forrest with Carino’s Catering. During dinner we hang out and chat. Those who know each other catch up and for those who are new we get to know them. It’s very relaxed and fun. Then after dinner we gather for the marketing part of the evening. Every woman gets 3 minutes to tell us who they are, what they do and how we can help them. Simple.

There are no yearly fees or contracts. You come as you can and pay for that month. We do need people to pre-register. One reason is that we create a roster for everyone to take home with them. The second reason is that we keep each event company and industry exclusive. There are some industries that have a lot of people wanting that spot. The only way to keep it fair is to give the spot to the person who registers first for that month. Once you make your payment you are considered registered. I like to keep my events to no more than 20 people. I feel like any more than that would make it harder for everyone there to connect with each other.

So that’s it in a nutshell. If you haven’t tried a Heart Link event you should. I am sure there is one in your area…and if there isn’t maybe you should start one!You’ll be glad you did!

Rain, snow or shine you can still make money at home.

Snow. All I heard for weeks from my kids, nieces and even some crazy parents around here is how they wanted it to snow. Well, file this under be careful what you wish for because we are officially over-snowed.

The schools are going on week two of cancellations. These poor kids and teachers are going to be in class until who knows when this summer. Mail isn’t running. Trash isn’t being picked up. Stores are out of stock, people fighting over the last box of Twinkies. People have been stranded in their houses playing Boggle until they are cross-eyed.

And scariest of all people and businesses are seeing their bottom dollar dwindle. Oh sure, the plow guys and the liquor stores are making all kinds of money but what about the rest of us? At my environmental consulting business we had to close our doors all last week basically. We couldn’t get out to the job sites to do anything. We couldn’t even get into our parking lot because it wasn’t plowed. So that is a week of income lost. Yet, I still paid my employees for a full week. I still had bills generated for the week. Too many weeks like that can really hurt a business.

I know there are some people who work in jobs where they don’t get paid for not working because of the weather. Too many days like that can really hurt a family.

This is why I am so thankful that I also have a home based business. I don’t have employees to pay or overhead to cover. I can be snowed in at home and still be generating income with my business. Granted, it has to be in snippets when I don’t have a two year old and eight year old running me all over the house. But still, all is not lost. I can make phone calls, write emails, and get on the computer to work my business.

I will get my check from the company no matter the situation here. Residual income still comes in if I work or not that week or two.

What a blessing!

There are so many benefits to working a home based business. If you haven’t looked into it you really should. There are tons of them out there just waiting for you to find them! So go ahead, do some research.

If you are in Oklahoma I know you have some extra time on your hands right now.

Hard to believe Wrap Against Domestic Violence is next Monday! We are so excited to get to have fun while helping such a great cause.

A lot of people are asking me if they can buy tickets at the door of the event. Yes, you can. Just wanted to be sure you know that I can’t guarantee you a wrap that night if you buy at the door. The only way for me to guarantee a wrap is if you bought a ticket before the event. I only have so many wraps on hand so if we don’t have enough then you will have to get your wrap from the next shipment. I am ordering more than we have registered for the event though so hopefully it won’t be an issue.

So there you go. Yes you can buy a ticket at the door! Just please understand the risk. And you will still get a wrap out of it either way as well as get to donate to a great cause!

I am so excited about Wrap Against Domestic Violence! I want to raise as much money as we can for Hearts of confidence so I’ve come up with a great incentive for those who help me get the word out.

I just need you to find 5 people to buy a ticket in order to earn a free wrap. Below are the terms & conditions. Always gotta have terms & conditions. Makes me feel official.

To get credit the ticket buyer must give your name as the person who referred them.

The free wrap cannot be given the night of the event because that would deny Hearts of Confidence their donation from the ticket. And I would feel guilt for days. The free wrap will be given after the event, out of the subsequent shipment.

Wrap Against Domestic Violence

I am so excited to tell you about our Wrap Against Domestic violence event! One of my favorite ways to share our products with people is through our Wrap & Slim events. These parties are like nothing you’ve ever been to before.

Each person at the party has a chance to try an Ultimate Body Applicator which is why it’s so important for us to have a good headcount for the party…we want to make sure we have wraps for everyone! We wrap each person at the beginning of the party, in a private area, which we then leave on for the minimum amount of 45 minutes. You can use the wrap anywhere from the neck down but if we are wrapping you at a party there are some places we can’t go…I like getting to know people but not that well!

After the wrapping is done we have 45 minutes before we can re-measure so that’s the perfect time to go over how the wrap is working, what to expect, our other products & how you can buy them. Once we are done with our chat we can then re-measure to see what everyone’s results are at that point. This is my favorite part because people are so excited when they have good results! And what’s even better is that these results aren’t final because the product continues to work in your system for 72 hours. The results just get better!

The parties are all about toning, tightening & firming so we like to keep that in mind when it comes to refreshments. The most important thing to have there is water because water is crucial to the product working. We also don’t want a lot of heavy food that is going to bloat. Some of our hostesses choose to have no food at all while others choose to do a light veggie or fruit tray. It’s really up to them. The product is still going to be working in their system for the 72 hours, we just may not have as good of results as we could’ve in the 45 minutes of use at the party if people are going to down on bloaty foods and alcohol.

That is a typical (short) description of what happens at one of our parties. I wanted to add a little something to it to kick of the new year. I thought of Hearts of Confidence and how I’ve been wanting to do more for that organization. I got together with Heather Simon and we came up with Wrap Against Domestic Violence.

Hearts of Confidence is a non-profit organization which was founded by Heather Simon and Shari Romer.

They are dedicated to building confidence from the inside out, providing professional makeovers, products, wardrobe, and life skills for survivors of domestic violence in North Eastern Oklahoma. I love what they are doing to help our community so I want to do something to help them. I am going to donate $5 from each Ultimate Body Applicator I sell at the event as well as donating 10% of the orders placed that night. How the heck does this thing work?

A lot of people have asked me how the Ultimate Body Applicators work. I don't blame them, after all I don't know of any products out there like this! So here are some Q&A's for those of you who are curious about the product that has caused me to lose 13 inches total after just 3 uses.

How does The Applicator work?

Select herbs provide nutrients that penetrate cell walls and cause the lipids (fatty materials) inside the cells to be released into the lymphatic system. The fat is then circulated naturally and carried out through the normal elimination process of the body, resulting in natural and permanent inch loss (not temporary compression or water loss).

The Applicators don't work by making you sweat out water (dehydration or water compression). Again, The Applicators actually help to release fat, not lose water. (Water loss can be dangerous!) We encourage you to DRINK lots of water to ASSIST flushing your body of excess fatty material. All of us have fat cells. It's the state of these fat cells that counts. They can expand and they can shrink. When you diet or work out, you don't lose fat cells; you lose the "subcutaneous fat" inside the cell.

The Applicator’s natural ingredients help to saturate the wall of the cell and work to release accumulated subcutaneous fat inside the cell (osmosis action). The excess substance liquefied by the herbs goes through blood circulation to the lymph system to excrete from the body. This is a normal excretion action that cleanses the excessive fatty substance from the body, and the excess material is flushed out through the lymphatic system, your normal elimination processes.
Your skin is your largest living and BREATHING organ of your body. How long does the inch loss last?

Is this a safe alternative to obesity surgery or liposuction?

But BE CAREFUL. Several wraps are designed to make you sweat off pounds of water only to return with each glass of water you drink afterward. Other wraps are based on compression. You're wrapped extremely tight with elastic bandages and for long periods of time. These are both temporary and generally, not comfortable to do, nor are they very good for your body.

Does this involve dieting?

No dieting is required for inch-loss. However, The Applicator Cosmetic System is the perfect partner for a diet. Losing weight causes the breakdown of fat, releasing more toxins in the soft tissues, frequently resulting in loose, "flabby" looking flesh. The detoxifying and sculpturing wrap will firm and tighten this flesh to show the full benefits of your weight loss.

How many inches will I lose?

It depends upon your body type (the proportion of soft fatty tissue to muscle mass) and the amount of loose skin you have. Most people average a 1 to 3 inch loss the first and again the second applicator, and about half as much the following applicators. Many people use applicators for skin tightening and cellulite reduction while others seek the therapeutic benefits of detoxification.

How often can I use The Applicator Cosmetic System?

The Applicator is a safe and effective process and you may do it as often as you wish, however you continue losing inches for 72 hours after the applicator. We suggest for maximum inch loss results that a series of applicators, at least 72 hours apart be applied until you reach your desired shape. Some people are happy after just one applicator, others apply once a month to maintain their results and because it makes the skin so soft and supple.

Is this just a temporary water loss?

No. The Applicator is a firming and toning process, which produces results by detoxifying and contouring flesh. There is very little water loss. You will lose more inches than pounds. Be sure to drink plenty of water.

Will The Applicator help cellulite?

As you probably know, cellulite is waterlogged fatty issue. One of the first things women with this problem report is the loss of many of their fat dimples and ripples within the first few applicators. Results, however, can be seen from the very first application.

How many applicators will I need?

That depends on several things: how many inches you wish to lose, the number of inches lost per applicator, how much loose skin you have, your commitment to a weight loss program, etc. To maximize your losses you ideally need to apply every 72 hours or twice a week until your skin is tight, you have no cellulite and you look great in and OUT of clothes. (i.e. weddings, reunions, photo shoots, etc.).

How much weight will I lose?

Just who is The Skinny Wrap Diva?

Deep question.

One that can have so many answers.

The easy description is I am a happily married woman of almost 12 years. I am very lucky b/c my husband is my partner in every way. He does more than his share around the house with the kids and the housework. Truth be told he is better than me at the housework part. He can load a dishwasher like no one has ever seen. The man has a gift for fitting things in a space just right. He has a lot of gifts but this post isn’t asking about the Skinny Wrap Diva’s husband.

I am a mommy. My oldest daughter is 8. She's been an adamant Tomboy for years. When she was very young I was able to dress her up and be girlie but once she became “recess” age there has been no point. She comes home every day with holes in her knees from playing football with the boys at school. You can’t play football in a dress so that was only for special occasions. Here lately however she seems to be stepping a little into the pink side. She told me just last night she didn’t want to wear jeans to school today! I try not to acknowledge this new found feminine side for fear it’ll vanish faster than…well something really fast. Because of her I am also a PTA chairperson, a homeroom mom, and a soccer mom. But I don’t drive a swagger wagon.

My youngest daughter is 2. She is definitely girly. Loves to dress up in my shoes and play in my make-up. She's a great twirler and loves to Zumba. I’m trying not to be too quick to dream of shopping sprees and mani/pedi’s just yet though. I fear the football gods will have their way with her as well eventually. She already knows how to get down in the football stance and tackle. She is also my first baby to embrace the terrible twos. She’s not just in it. She’s hunkered down and rolling around in it, getting its stink all over her. This just solidifies our decision that she is our last.

I am also an entrepreneur. I am blessed to own an environmental consulting business with my husband. We bought the business he was president of about 7 years ago. Monumental achievement, it is fully paid off! This business is really my husband’s passion. He is the definite expert. I can’t even go into the field, for various reasons, so I run the office. Do the accounting etc. This is funny considering the number of years I never even thought to balance my own personal checkbook.

I don’t like debits and credits.

This leads me to my own business as The Skinny Wrap Diva! I am an Independent Distributor with It Works Global. Basically I get to go around and show people how we can help them live longer and look younger. And I get to meet a lot of really cool people while doing it. This fits my social personality just perfectly. I have an excuse to have girl's night out. I am also a Chapter Leader with The Heart Link Network which is an amazing woman’s networking organization. You’ll learn more about all of that as we go along though. This post is long enough and I hear you are supposed to leave people wanting more so I think I’m gonna sign off.

Plus if I go much longer I may burn dinner.
